Episode 12: Isabelle Perreau

Isabelle Perreau is a photographer with soul.  She has an ability to take a picture that is filled with emotion and sensitivity.  Isa is French, but has lived or visited places all over the world, this experience of culture has informed her work with a greater sensibility in understanding of the human condition.  Isa is a member of the Archway Gallery located at 2305 Dunlavy, Houston, TX 77006, a group of over 30 artists that have new shows monthly and sponsor a PIE night, and life drawing sessions every Sunday. Check website for details, archwaygallery.com.   Opening March 3, 2018 at the gallery is Isabelle’s new show entitled “Feminitude” A Path Towards Femininity.   Isa expands on the quote of Simone de Beauvoir ” One is not born, but rather becomes a woman” and explores that idea with images she shares of her own daughter as she embarks on motherhood, a journey that has allowed much growth for Isa too.  Not to be missed!  Enjoy my conversation with Isa as we talk about the new show and more. Thanks ISA.
