Episode 5: Gary Watson

Gary Watson describes himself in something of a poem, light, shape, texture, story, …Don’t ask me why I take pictures, I cannot tell you why, I can only say that I must.  Clearly this is true, his images evoke that sense of a poem, or as we discuss in our conversation remembrances of old movies, black and white gems.  Gary also brings the  aesthetic with vintage tools enjoying the process as much as anything, this careful attention yields beautiful, and sometimes haunting images.  Gary enjoys creating  photographic documentary vignettes, political, social commentaries and images that mean something to him and hopefully the viewer.  Find Gary at gwatson4x5.com, filmgary on Instagram, and gwatsonphotographer on Facebook and every second Saturday at his Spring Street Studio 229, from 12-5.
